MOSA Audiology Services and Hearing Aid Centers

Improve Your Hearing, Improve Your Life…

audiologistAs health care professionals, our goal is simple: help you hear the best you can. To help accomplish this, we provide a wide range of services to adult and pediatric patients, including:

  • Hearing tests
  • Hearing aid or associated equipment selection, as needed
  • Follow-up consultations

Your First Visit…

When you first come to our office, our experienced Audiologists will go over your concerns and hearing conditions. These can range from tinnitus to complete loss of hearing. We’ll then discuss and determine how to help you hear better.

Next Up…

The next step is to have a hearing test. We’ll conduct a basic hearing test to see how well you hear certain sounds. You’ll wear a set of headphones and sit in a soundproof room adjacent to your Audiologist. We’ll then send a series of tones and ask you to indicate when you hear them. We may also recite some words to check your ability to hear certain levels of sound.

In addition to the basic evaluation, we’ll also run any specialized tests that your primary care professional may recommend.

After the Evaluation…

The results of the hearing evaluation will show the degree of hearing loss, if any, and indicate the next steps we should take. This might call for trying hearing aids to improve your hearing, or other assistive equipment.

Pediatric Patients…

Hearing well has a clear effect on a child’s ability to learn and to do well in school. It also plays an important role in the development of speech and language skills. As trained Audiologists, we specialize in addressing the different needs some children may have.

Additional Services…

We have a Walk-In Hearing Aid checkup for the benefit of our patients in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area. We will accept hearing aids for general cleaning and checkup between 9 – 11 a.m. and 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. daily. This service is available at no charge for hearing aids and related devices purchased through M.O.S.A. Audiology. We will make best efforts to provide this service on the same day the aids are brought in, but it may take until the next day before they are ready. Hearing aids or related devices from another organization will be cleaned and checked, and a charge may apply.

As and if needed, we’ll provide wax removal while you’re in our office.
